District President: Lois Wolfe (CWdistrict@gfwcgeorgia.org)
Symbol: The “El Camino” Scallop Shell
The radiating lines of the El Camino’s scallop shell symbolize the different European routes that pilgrims have taken for nearly 2,000 years with all leading to one destination – Santiago de Compostela. The Central West District shell symbolizes the paths in which its 11 clubs come together with a shared unity, direction, and purpose. The yellow arrow under the shell is our guidepost for traveling the federated path of volunteerism from each club to district, through GFWC Georgia, and finally to GFWC on “The Way to Service.”
